310s Automotive Technician Pay rate $35-$45

As a 310s Automotive Technician, you must be able to perform duties of all the following areas: general mechanical repairs, A/C repairs, Engine repairs, Suspension / front end repairs, Electrical repairs, and trim repairs, perform safety inspections. Communicates in a professional manner with fellow co-workers and be team, player. Follows all shop Health & Safety policies and procedures.  Report all accidents at once. Will perform shop light duty maintenance on Scheduled Saturdays. 

Work Schedule:  ----- 8:00 am to 5:00pm or as needed. Zero tolerance for lateness or leaving work early. Requirements - Works Saturdays as per Service Managers schedule. Must wear proper safety attire at all times. Dealer uniforms are to be worn at all times.   Service Manager reserves the right to change work schedule as needed to accommodate our customers needs. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Change oil and filter of vehicles
  • Complete all MPI’s on the computer.
  • Resets all maintenance oil change lights.
  • Perform general vehicle mechanical repair.
  • Re / Re engines or transmissions.
  • Ability to overhaul transmission.
  • Ability to perform compression test, leak down test, fuel pressure tests.
  • Replace cylinder heads, timing belts or chains.
  • Replace steering gears / rack and pinions.
  • Replace struts, shocks, control arms and steering linkage.
  • Diagnose check engine lights, ABS lights, etc. 
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams on dealer connect. 
  • Replace complete brake systems.
  • Diagnose emission control items. 
  • Perform electrical repairs. 
  • Perform Wheel Alignments, Perform A/C system repairs an asset. 
  • Write written inspection reports.
  • Perform Safety inspections, Perform recall services.
  • Must supply own tools as needed.
  • All Chrysler FCA web course assigned by Service Manager are to be completed in the timetable stipulated by the department Manager.
  • Keeps workstation neat and clean daily and washes any oil spills in detail shop on a need to be basis.
  • All Shop tools are handled with care and returned to their appropriate location.
  • Report any equipment deficiencies to Service Manager at once.
  • Responsible for writing, the cause & correction statements on work order
  • Proper Warranty & CP punch times to support warranty claim: e.g., Straight times, diagnostic times.
  • Return all warranty parts to Parts Department. 
  • Must practice and follow all safety rules, Reports any accident!!!,   

Holidays or Sick Days, Dr. Appointments:

  • Calls Service Manager when unable to come into work.
  • Vacation time is not allowed to be scheduled at the same time as another technician.
  • Service Manager must approve vacation time of two weeks per year. No two technician are allowed to be off at the same time! Senior techs have first choice!
  • Advance notice for time off, Dr. appointment’s etc.., etc.

Policy on personal vehicle.

  • You are allowed to bring in your personal vehicle in once a month with service manager authorization.
  • Must have Advisor write work order before personal vehicle is brought into the shop.
